The Second Line Support will provide responsive and competent technical support to customers who require help with customer service, product information, or assistance with installation and usage of hardware or software application as required by the needs of each specific product line. This support is normally provided by telephone although it is increasingly being provided through electronic means, like Internet, Email.
Responsibilities
- Installation and configuration of OS and drivers, Win XP Home Edition, Service packs and for Business Products Win 2000, Win CE, Pocket PC 2002 and 2003
- Change of OS and driver settings
- Determination of driver versions
- Installation of Microsoft Office products. Installation and configuration of FSC products, (updates, etc.) Extending FSC products regarding main memory, CPU, network interface cards, SCSI controllers, raid controllers, backup devices, etc.
- Installation and configuration of OS and drivers (Win 2000, Win 2003, Service pack)
- Daily check tasks
Wymagania
* Proficiency in the Italian language
* Good command of the English language
* Able to work with FSC products regarding main memory, CPU, modem, sound card, Network interface card, PCMCIA components, Home peripherals etc.
* External interfaces for FSC products: Firewire, Bluetooth, USB, IrDA etc.
* Hardware and software knowledge about other relevant products in home environment to answer questions regarding functionality and compatibility in combination with FSC products
* General networking knowledge, TCP/IP protocol, peer to peer networking, remote access networking, wireless LAN
* Detailed knowledge of raid controller configuration, updating and flashing of firmware, controllers etc.
* Hardware and software knowledge of other relevant products in server environment necessary for backup etc.
* Basic knowledge in SAN/NAS environments
* Basic knowledge in networking services (DNS, DHCP etc.)
* Microsoft domain administration knowledge
* Broad networking technology knowledge (TCP/IP, Fibrechannel, etc.)
* Basic knowledge of CRT-/TFT-monitors, televisions, beamers and plasma screens are required. In particular adjustment of the monitor products
